Driver Ed Summer School Dates and Times

Session 1 June 17-27 

8:05 a.m. until 11:55 a.m.  Bus transportation provided

 

Driving Requirements

6 hours behind the wheel with Instructor

                6 hours observation with Instructor

                19 hours with parents or guardian ( 10 hours night driving) Log sheets provided

 

Driving Skills

                1st hour   Orientation-

                2nd hour  Uphill and downhill park-hand signals

                3rd hour   Y  and U turns

                4th hour   Vertical and angle park

                5th hour   Parallel park

                6th hour   Heavy traffic-freeway driving

               

To Get Your Permit

                 15 ½ years of age

                 Enrolled in Driver  Ed. class

                 Certified copy of birth certificate

                 Permit application signed by instructor-signature good for 60 days

                 Permit valid for one year-Permit expires-see Mr. Wolf

                 Must hold permit for 180 days

                Pay fee to Kay Gilles-$250 at present time

                Take receipt to Nola to get permit application

                Permit application filled out in class

                Let Mr. Wolf know when you get permit

                Signup sheet for driving after school for  2013-14 school year in Mr. Laehn’s room

                Your responsibility to get a driving partner

                Should drive once a month for that six month period.

 

To Get Your License 

                Must have held permit for 180 days

                Must have course completion slip-this is in transition to online program

                Valid Permit

                Vehicle in good running order

                Must make appointment for road test
