My name is Brian Nadeau, and it is my honor to serve as the Superintendent for the Plum City School District. Following sixteen years of classroom teaching and coaching, I began my administrative career in 2015, serving as a Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Principal before being hired in Plum City as the Superintendent, 6-12 Principal, and Curriculum Director in 2021.
Our district is comprised of two buildings, an elementary school that houses 4K-5th grade, and a middle/high school that houses grades 6-12. We recently added 3K to our elementary programming. The school district has a rich tradition of academic excellence and community involvement and support. We have a talented and dedicated staff working to provide meaningful connections and engaging learning experiences for our students. Our shared vision was created collaboratively by students, staff, and community members. It states that we are committed to "creating a school environment where all students feel safe, valued, and empowered to achieve their full potential." As we seek to live this vision, we have created more and varied opportunities for students in the areas of academics, athletics, and activities.
I would like to extend an open invitation to visit our schools and see the amazing things that our students and educators are doing daily. Call (715) 647-2591 (MS/HS) or (715) 647-2911 (ES) to arrange a visit.

Hi! My name is Becky Fortney. I cannot express enough how happy I am to have joined the team at Plum City School District as the Elementary School Principal and Curriculum Coordinator. I grew up in a home daycare setting where I started my career early teaching all of my mom’s daycare kids. As I grew up, my passion for working with others continued to grow and I knew I wanted to be in education. After getting my bachelor’s degree at UW-River Falls, I taught for 15 years in grades 1, 2, and 3. I worked on my Masters in Leadership at UW-Superior and now, here I am! I’m grateful to be in a community that is so caring and welcoming! Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if you’d like to stop in!

Welcome! My name is Abby Regnier, and I am the Director of Student Services for the Plum City School District. I started my teaching career as a special education teacher at the elementary school in 2015. Plum City has been my home away from home ever since! I have been the Director of Student Services since 2020. Some of the different hats that fall into that role include the Director of Special Education, the Homeless Liaison and Foster Care contact person, the English Language Learner Coordinator, and the Title I Coordinator. Some days can be challenging, but amazing students, staff, and community members sure help to find the positives each day. My goal is to make a difference in the lives of each child I work with and to be a positive role model they can trust. If you have any questions please reach out!

Welcome to Plum City Middle and High School! My name is Angie Laehn, and I am proud to serve as the MS-HS Dean of Students. Plum City has been my professional home for just over thirty years. The families and community are not only welcoming but also supportive of its students, staff and school. It’s an amazing place to live, grow and learn!
I knew from a very early age that I was going to be a teacher. I used to pretend my stuffed animals were my students, and after that, I was hooked! In the fall of 1990, I took a long-term sub position at my alma mater, Unity School District, teaching 5th grade, and the following year, I started teaching 6-8 English-Language Arts in Plum City to students I adored. I also coached volleyball, softball, middle and high school Forensics and directed some pretty amazing high school plays. I spent one semester as the Dean of Students at the elementary school where I loved up on those Littles and their amazing teachers, and the following year, I went down the road to Durand Middle School. And then, I came back to Plum City, to a different role where everything was brand-new. It has been overwhelming at times, but always rewarding, and I have learned that you can teach an old dog new tricks--just not too many tricks in one day!
