The Plum City School District is comprised of 2 buildings; Plum City Elementary School (3K-5), and Plum City Middle/High School (6-12) on two separate campuses.
Our school district's facilities department is responsible for maintaining and managing all of the physical assets of the district. This includes everything from school buildings and grounds, to equipment and furnishings.
Here are some of the key responsibilities of our facilities department:
- Building Maintenance: Ensuring that school buildings are safe, clean, and functional. This includes tasks such as:
- Regular cleaning and maintenance
- Repairing leaks, worn equipment, and other damage
- Ensuring that heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are working properly
- Grounds Maintenance: Maintaining the grounds of schools, including:
- Landscaping
- Snow removal
- Pest control
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Construction and Renovation: Overseeing construction and renovation projects, such as the recent renovation of the middle/high school office.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring that all facilities and chemicals comply with safety regulations and codes.
- Energy Management: Implementing energy-saving measures to reduce the district's energy consumption and costs.
In essence, the facilities department is responsible for creating a safe, comfortable, and conducive learning environment for students and staff.
